Matthew Kelley Co-Founder +
CEO
Matthew is a creator, builder, and communicator, who cares deeply about determining and fast-tracking solutions that help people. His design approach merges practical problem-solving with novel and accessible usability. Matthew has spent his early career running manufacturing labs (Makelab), designing manufacturing tools and optimized processes (Oishii), and creating and driving hardware startups (bluegreen, AOP).
Matthew graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2020 with his Bachelors in Industrial Design with a Minor in Advertising. He served the RIT
community as a prototyping & fabrication
mentor in the RIT Fab Lab, teaching users
how to bring their ideas to reality.
Jared West Co-Founder +
Engineering Advisor
Jared is a Columbia-trained engineer & builder
with a ruthless commitment to prevention of
human health risks and climate crisis through
elegant, intelligent hardware. He has spent his
early career building 3D printing tech (Makelab),
automated vertical farming systems (Oishii),
consumer products (Air 95, bluegreen), and
evolutionsteering robots (Melonfrost). Jared
graduated from Columbia University in 2020
with his Bachelors in Physics with a Focus in
Mechanical Engineering. He spent his time at
Columbia developing new 3D printing
technologies in Dr. Hod Lipson’s
Creative Machines Lab.
Jason Morlock Remote Engineering Support
Jason strongly believes that creative solutions can make the world a better place. As a mechanical engineer trained by New Jersey Institute of Technology (2023, Magna Cum Laude), he has developed technologies to innovate modern agriculture (Oishii Farm Corp.), prepare consumer design solutions (ATLAS, bluegreen), and expand post-operative wound closure possibilities (Ethicon Inc.). During his time at NJIT, Jason researched introductory engineering education development to improve the Fundamentals of Engineering Design class that he assisted and united the student body through music as President of the Society of Musical Arts. His service reflects a responsibility to use engineering and design skills to practice sustainability and connect with people.
Dr. Rajiv Bhat Angel Investor +
Business Advisor
Rajiv was co-founder at social commerce
startup Mertado (YCombinator W2010) through its acquisition by Groupon. Later, he led data science at ad tech unicorn InMobi. Rajiv has a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from University of Colorado at Boulder and an undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
Sam Wurzel Angel Investor +
Business Advisor
Sam currently serves as a Technology-to-
Market Advisor at the Advanced Research
Projects Agency-Energy (ARPAE), where he helps prepare innovative energy technologies
for transition from the lab to the market. Sam
began his career as the co-founder and CEO
of Octopart in 2006. Octopart began as a
project that grew out of his and his co-founders’
experience in physics graduate school as they
grew frustrated with the process of searching
for electronic components for their experimental
physics research. In 2015, Octopart was
acquired by Altium, a company that develops
design software for the electronics industry.

Story
Jared and Matthew served as essential workers during the peak of COVID-19 making protective equipment for medical workers in NYC. Through conversations with medical pros on the front lines, they discovered that most protective equipment fits poorly, which causes severe discomfort and significantly reduces effectiveness. In response, they founded AOP and created the custom-fitted Air 95 face mask to deliver the most comfortable, most secure mask on the market.
